I'm dreading the decision(s) regarding Ash's educational future at the moment.. we're not far behind you. I have the same issues with the mainstream schooling trying to get children to comply. And like you described, your daughter's uniqueness would not have been respected. The 'good jobbing', the rewards, the lack of freedom, the lack of respect for feelings... it all saddens me. Yet I'm finding it hard to muster up the energy to home school.. so feel a bit torn.
